Order to Cash and EDI in manufacturing

I’ve been building systems for manufacturers since 2011 and working in ERP since 2014. These days that means Oracle E-Business Suite, mostly Order Management and Order to Cash. Before Oracle I worked hands-on in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and wrote SQL reports.

On projects I cover requirements, fit-gap, configuration decisions, UAT, cut-over and hyper-care.

What I work on

  • Order to Cash: order management, scheduling, fulfilment and invoicing for build-to-order manufacturing
  • Oracle E-Business Suite R12: Order Management, with Inventory and Finance
  • EDI: onboarding customers and vendors onto Oracle-based EDI
  • Reporting: SQL, SSRS and Power BI

Selected work

ERP migration Part of the core team that moved a global manufacturer from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Oracle E-Business Suite R12. For EMEA and APAC I was the main contact through go-live: testing, training, data migration and cut-over. I’ve worked on Order Management ever since and still support both regions.
EDI Onboarded the manufacturer’s first UK customer to EDI at cut-over, and later its first US customer. I now look after EDI support across global operations.
NAV upgrade Led a Dynamics NAV Classic to NAV 2018 upgrade end to end, bringing development in-house.
